Quilt Show
The Glenwood Quilting ministry completed the quilts displayed in the foyer this morning (September 10) since the last time quilts were distributed on March 2, 2023. Quilts are made in various sizes and donated to 14 organizations and individuals. Fabric, thread, and some batting materials are donated. However, to help the quilting ministry purchase more batting, you may contribute to the Glenwood Shelter Quilt Fund (Fund 383) at Glenwood Community Church. Newcomers are welcome -- you don't need to sew to volunteer. The quilting ministry meets most Thursdays in the fellowship hall. You can stop by the display to learn more about this ministry.
Global Outreach
Hungary G.O. Team Open House/Join us in the Fellowship Hall on September 10, after the second service, to hear from the Hungary G.O. (Global Outreach) Team, who served with Josiah Venture earlier this summer alongside Eric and Lindsay Meland, our missionaries in Hungary.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through simple, gift-filled shoe boxes and the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ. It’s not too early to begin planning and shopping for your shoeboxes---back to school items will be on sale starting soon.
All-Church Picnic - Sunday, September 24, 12:00 - 2:30 PM
What better way to celebrate with our church family than at our All-Church Picnic? Glenwood will provide hotdogs and pulled pork sandwiches. Please bring a food item to share based on your last name. If your last name starts with A-R: Salad/Side Dish/Fruit; if your last name starts with S-Z: Dessert. Please bring picnic blankets and camp chairs to set up on the lawn outside of the Fellowship Hall.
First Things First
First Things First is a Men's Bible Study and prayer time led by Pastor Paul. The Bible study is a verse-by-verse inductive study of the upcoming Sunday sermon, followed by a time of prayer in small groups. First Things First meets every Friday from 6:00-7:00 a.m. in the Library. There is a Zoom option available for those not able to meet in person. Contact Al Curtis for the Zoom Link.
Life Groups
LIFE Groups are where God's family acts like family. We want each person who joins a group to discover firsthand the joy, responsibility, and growth that occurs from being in an intentional community. The people in a LIFE Group are people just like you. Some groups are composed of couples, some a mixture of both singles and couples, and some a mixture of generations. LIFE Groups meet at various homes and times throughout the week. If you would like more information, please stop by the foyer table this morning.
