Ben Cunningham was born and raised in Northern California, where he pastored for 15 years prior to coming to Glenwood. He holds an undergraduate degree from Biola University in Biblical Studies and a Masters in Theology from Talbot Seminary. He is currently working on a Th.M. from Western Seminary. His passion is to see God’s people grow in their knowledge of God so that their lives change and point to Jesus. He and his wife Bree were married in 2002 and have four children. They love to hike, play music, repurpose furniture and enjoy an occasional board game.
Staff
Al Curtis served in private industry until 2001, when he joined Glenwood's staff as Director of Operations. Al's responsibilities include assisting Pastor Paul in the daily supervision of support staff, overall development of our 20 acre campus, budget and expense control, and Men's Ministries. Al also serves as elder on the Church Board, with shepherding and visitation as an emphasis. Al and his wife Terri have two kids and five grandkids.
Julianna works part time in Children’s Ministries. She lends her highly capable hands to support and encourage the infant through 5th grade teams. Julianna is a graduate of Washington State University Vancouver, where she specialized in Early Childhood Education. Julianna began attending Glenwood when she was three years old. She even met and married her high school sweetheart, Jamie, at Glenwood. They have been married over twenty-five years and have four grown children.
Kristen first volunteered in Glenwood’s Children’s Ministry in 2009 and has continued to serve in various Children’s Ministry teams and events. She graduated from George Fox University with a degree in Elementary Education. Kristen now works part time to support and organize teams that serve in Children’s Ministry. In her free time, she enjoys crafting in many forms, including crocheting, journaling, and doodling.
Carlie began attending Glenwood with her family in 2001. She grew up in the Children’s ministry program and now has the honor of serving the program in a full-time capacity. It is Carlie’s desire to join with Glenwood and the Children’s Ministry mission “to encourage children to know, love and follow Jesus Christ and to equip them with the tools necessary to follow Him in an increasingly complex and difficult world.” Carlie is a graduate of Multnomah University, holding both a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Ministries and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management. Her husband, Dawson also grew at up Glenwood, and they married in the church in 2019.
Andrew joined the Glenwood staff in 2018. Both Andrew and his wife Robin are from Ventura county in Southern California. The Zegans have a heart and passion for serving in youth ministry. He received his BA in Biblical studies from Eternity Bible College. Andrew’s vision as Director of Youth Ministries is to see students develop and grow long lasting relationships with Jesus. Andrew has worked in youth ministries since 2011. Andrew and his wife Robin got married in early 2018, and have two daughters.
Jamie brings an eclectic background to Glenwood’s Young Adult and Communications ministries. He has worked for the past 15 years in digital video marketing and corporate communication training. Before that, Jamie served as a youth pastor at another local church. Jamie began attending Glenwood when he was six years old, where, unbeknownst to him, he first met the girl who was to become his wife. Having four adult children has shaped his passion to help young adults discover the importance of who they are and who Jesus is. His love of stories continues to drive his understanding of how to help people connect.
Ben Rico works with the leadership team to implement the mission of Glenwood in leading music and Sunday worship, our media and technical support ministries, and providing pastoral care. Ben was born and raised in Chicago where he began playing music at a young age and went on to study cello and music in worship at North Park University. He has served as a worship leader and director for the last six years. He and his wife Linnea have two daughters and one son.
Colleen Adent's background in performance and arranging is being put to good use each week at Glenwood Community Church as she prepares music for our worship services and special events. An accomplished pianist, Colleen has performed at a number of local as well as international venues. She is a graduate of Biola University in the field of piano performance. Colleen and her husband Nathan have three adult children and three grandchildren.
Michelle and her husband Matt have been a part of Glenwood for more than ten years. Michelle grew up in a small town on the Kitsap Peninsula (west of Seattle) and graduated from Evangel University with a degree in Business Management. She spent many years in the business world before starting a family. She has been active in serving at Glenwood for some time; she has served on the Women's Ministries board for four years, and she and her husband host a Life Group in their home. Michelle's desire is to encourage women in their relationship with Jesus and with each other. Michelle and Matt have two sons, Sam and Zak.
Office manager Judy Tremblay is responsible for day to day office operations, accounting processes, and a host of other things that enable us to function. Judy hosts our young adult Life Group with her husband Joe and has been a member at Glenwood for almost thirty years. Judy has two grown children and three grandchildren.
Andrea and her family have been a part of Glenwood for over a decade. Andrea helps in the front office in several administrative ways. She grew up in Portland and graduated from Oregon State University. She and her husband, Chris, have been married over twenty-five years and have three daughters. Andrea loves to take up her knitting needles whenever she has the chance.
Erik Cummings assists Al Curtis as Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor. He oversees the maintenance team in the upkeep of the church grounds and buildings as well as coordinating event scheduling, set up, and clean up. He was born in Maine and moved to Vancouver with his family when he was four. Erik married his wife, Bethie, in early 2020.
Christa administrates Worship Arts and Media. Her wide range of skills helps keep Glenwood running smoothly. Christa enjoys many hobbies including swing dancing, piano, and crafting. Christa and her family have been part of Glenwood for many years.
